What can be used to balance out garlic?

We've made a garlic hummus tonight and it's pretty overpowering. Are there any spices that balance out strong garlic flavors?|||Puree some rosted red bell pepper into it.|||I'm afraid the only thing you can do is add more of the main ingredient to spread out the garlic. If you have time you might place raw potatoes in the mix ... remove before serving. Potatoes will absorb oversalting - maybe ....|||Add more hummus w/o the garlic...also fresh lemon...
