What is an effective way to train balance?

i have good balace, but not the best. i am training in martial arts (jeet kune do and hapkido) and i want to have better balance for faster and stronger kicks. what can i do to help train my balance on my feet?|||Do squats and jumping squats. The jump-squats will train the small stabilizing muscles in your knees which makes it much easier to balance, allows more power to transfer through your kicks, and will also train your legs for explosive power.





Also I suggest trying to find a yoshinkan aikido dojo nearby. From experience I know that it trains balance VERY well.|||no, don't use weights, bodyweight is enough. If you can do 100 of these without weights it's VERY impressive. Weights can actually damage your joints doing this exercise.
