What type of martial arts requires good balance?

I have really good balance and so I was wondering what martial arts styles do you need good balance in order to do well?|||All martial arts you need to have good balance. However, you don't need to have it when you begin training. You develop it over time through practice. Many com in thinking they have good balance, but their balance isn't the same for martial arts training.

ninja you left out something very important for martial arts. The most important thing is positioning. You have to have the right position for timing, power, distance and balance.|||Pretty much every martial art needs balance to work. If you are kicking and falling on your butt it will not work well for you. Also in judo and jujistu balance is very important because if you get off balance you are easy to throw. Although balance is not the only trait needed for martial arts strength, speed, adaptability and much more is needed. Although if you have good balance you are off to a good start.|||All of the martial arts that I can think of require good balance. The three most important things in a fight are balance, distance, and timing. Not only do you need a good understanding of your balance, but also of your opponent's balance.|||all martial arts could benefit from a good balance. but there is a difference between what a normal person would call balance and martial artist would call balance. a normal person would be standing and lift one of their foot and stand for a long time and call it balance. or they would just walk in a straight line and call that balance. which it is, don't get me wrong, but what martial artist would call balance would be more of learned balance. for example, a wrestler who stays low to keep their balance from being taken away. a kicker who kicks with power after a combination of one two.

the difference lies with the biologically gifted with the ear to brain sense of balance, and trained keeping center of gravity low and keeping the balance from straying too far out. not saying that one doesn't help another, on the contrary being biologically gifted will help with any athletic activities to a degree. however to think one trait like that will make a huge difference in the long run is a wrong way of thinking.

I'd say, learn what you would like to learn, unbound by the limits of natural born gifts. On that note, any throwing arts (judo, wrestling, and shuajiao) and kicking arts (TKD, Karate, and Capoeria) would appreciate your gifts.|||In short. All of them require a good sense of balance. Ju Jitsu for example attacks an opponent's balance, or lack of balance actually. In order to do this the practitioner must be aware of their own balance, and which angle best suits the situation.|||Like everyone else said: you need good balance for all martial arts and if you don't have it, martial arts will improve it. I would also suggest Wushu (a chinese performance art), because you are a girl and would love it. If you can find a school which offers wushu as well as wing chun and/or sanshou, even better.|||Yes, all of them. But some, like taekwondo, use a lot of lumping and spinning kicks, so I'd say this requires more balance than most. Then there's kung fu, some styles use a lot of acrobatics, I'd say this requires a lot, too. Then there's capoeira, I think this is ALL about balance.|||Tai Chi has a strong emphasis on balance among other things. Find a Wushu/Tai Chi school that actively competes and you will have a way to show off your balance to the world.|||every martial art but the one that you need to have the best balance is ninjistu|||all martial arts require a certain degree of balance however ninjutsu is one that focuses the most on it.|||Karate and tkd require alot of balance.
