What is the minimum negative balance for the bank to report you to chexsystems?

I refuse to pay TD Banks overdraft fee when i have a receipt that shows my CASH deposit was made on time and my balance was enough to cover my check which had not been presented yet, And the receipt mentions nothing about the money not being available to cover checks if made after 6pm. It's only 35 bucks but I'm a single mom and every dollar counts.|||There is no minimum amount required as long as the negative balance is more than 0.00.

All there is, is a minimum amount of days that your account can remain overdrawn before its sent to checksystems. Some banks have it at 120 days, after which your account is closed.

Check with your bank to see how long you need to have your account back to good standing.

Typically, deposits made after 6 pm are not credited until the next day (and there is often a sign at the bank or near the ATM alerting customers to that policy). But, if the bank gets a call from a politician, they might be more lenient.

If that fails, you may want to pay the fee. Getting reported to CHEX is really bad and will mess up your life for a long time. You will pay much more in money order fees within a year than you will pay to get the $35 taken care of.

Sorry - wish I had better advice to offer you.|||I have seen some people that were reported for as little as 13 cents
