What is a good way to balance your priorities?

In ib (international baccalaureate) we have summer work and a lot of homework. What is a good way to balance my homework and have time for my friends and do my household chores all at the same time?|||Best advice: Get a really good calendar or day planner, and clearly denote times IE (From 7am to 8am, clean living room, 8am to 9am, study Calculus) you get the idea. The more specific and organized your are, the more likely you'll keep on task and not waste any time that could be spent socializing, studying or chores.

It's not so hard once you get used to it, and it's a great way to prepare for college.|||1. Remember Time is Fair. Everyone has 24 hours a day to use or abuse, no more no less. No matter the status in life or from what background a person originates from, everyone has the same amount of hours in a day. The difference is how a person chooses to spends these hours or days. Perhaps this is the reason why some people are considered miracle workers while others never get anything done.

2. Pass a Piece of Information only Once. Passing a piece of information through the hands only once can be a great time-saver. This goes for articles, mail, email, articles, newspapers and other sources of information.

3. Practice Efficient Communication. Communication happens on the phone, in emails or letters, and naturally, face-to-face conversations. In business parlance, a lot of time spent in communication is considered inefficient. This is especially wasteful because owned time isn't the only time wasted but also the other person's.

4. Take Responsible Decision. Some decisions aren't worth spending too much of one's valuable time. The ability to take decisions quickly, especially minor ones, frees up a lot of time that can already be used on more important things. It also enhances self-confidence, which greatly helps when taking decisions on more important issues.

5. Last words on Time Management

Often, workaholics don't have a very good relationship with time management. Others use a to-do list set out to be done, but anything and everything that come across interferes and they are weak to say "no" to all kinds of situations. People who ask themselves how they can possibly get everything done should stop doing so. Why? The answer is simple: They can't. It's all about managing time and setting priorities.

How do you turn off remaining balance notification when I place a call on Straight Talk Wireless?

I have the $30/mo plan on Straight Talk Wireless, and every time I make a call, I have to listen to my remaining time balance before the call goes through. Is there a way to turn that off, and if so, how?|||You will need to have Customer Service assist you, but if they can't, please send e-mail to SuperCSR Elston: ELombillo@tracfone.com for assistance.|||When I had my straight talk phone I called them and asked if they could take it off and they did. Good luck with this phone. I just got rid of mine, had it for one month and had all sorts of problems then called them and they all are from south america and it is hard to understand them. Spent 3 hours on the phone with them once. Hope yours works better for you than mine did for me :)

What's the difference between Balance and Fixed Amount?

I am signing up for direct deposit on my company's website, I already have my account and bank routing number but another option is Balance or Fixed Amount. I don't know which to choose.|||A fixed amount would be saying a specific dollar amount should be deposited. If you have a savings account, I highly recommend using direct deposit to put a little in savings automatically each paycheck. Balance would be the remaining amount - either the full check amount if you just deposit it into one account or what's remaining after that fixed amount is deposited into savings.

How can I remove zeroed out accounts on the balance sheet detailed report in quickbooks?

I have a bunch of accounts with a 0$ on my balance sheet. (mainly tax things and liabilities, since the company i am doing this for is a nonprofit company and they have none). How can I remove them off the balance sheet? It's mainly for asthetic look and to make easier to read, since the people reading these are not really "business" oriented people, and would only cause more confusion.|||When you have a report on the screen go to "modify report" and click "fonts and numbers". Click show all numbers except zero amounts and then refresh the report. Sometimes it seems like this doesn't work and I export to excel and delete the rows before printing.|||For this see

http://sn.im/148rn7

I hope that resolves your problem.

Is the land balance before the accounts have been adjusted the amount?

Is the land balance before the accounts have been adjusted the amount that should normally be reported on the balance sheet? Explain.

I am completely lost in this chapter of accounting so I would appreciate any kind of help.

Thanks.|||You can't depreciate land. Therefore land will remain on the balance sheet at cost.

How do I balance the electrons and equation in this redox?

Br2 + NH3 %26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; NH4Br + N2

Maybe im over complicating it but im unsure of how to balance the electrons in this equation the Br changes from 0 to +1 and the N changes from +3 to +5 and also 0 so what do i do about both the Nitrogens? And how do i balance it|||this is a redox reaction.. let's balance it like one...

here's the steps to balancing redox reactions....

1) identify all oxidation states

2) determine which species was oxidized and which reduced

3) write half reactions. include electrons

4) balance electrons in half reactions

5) combine half reactions then cancel electrons

6) add counter ions

7) add other species and THEN balance them...

see if you can follow along...

*** 1 ***

Br in Br2 is 0

N in NH3 is -3

H in NH3 is +1

N in NH4Br is -3

H in NH4Br is +1

Br in NH4Br is -1

N in N2 is 0

*** 2 ***

Br goes from 0 to -1 and is reduced

SOME N goes from -3 to 0 and is oxidized

*** 3 ***

Br2 + 2 e's ----%26gt; 2 Br(-1)

2 N(-3) ----%26gt; N2 + 6 e's

3 Br2 + 2 NH3 ----%26gt; 6 NH4Br + N2

*** 7 ***

3 Br2 + 2 NH3 + __ NH3 ----%26gt; 6 NH4Br + N2

(notice that I added more NH3? this is because the 2 NH3 only accounts for the NH3 that was oxidized. Some wasn't right? we know that from steps 1 and 2)

3 Br2 + 2 NH3 + 6 NH3 ----%26gt; 6 NH4Br + N2

and finally we simplify...

fyi.. you assumed the oxidation state of N was +3 and H was -1... H- is a "hydride ion" and can exist if the other ion has lower electronegativity. LiH is an example. Li+ and H-...But nitrogen has a higher electronegativity than H and therefore withdraws electron density from the H. making it N-3 and H+1.. not the other way around.|||Balance it by inspection:

How do I transfer my paypal balance to the debit card connected to my paypal?

How do I transfer my paypal balance to my prepaid debit card that is already registered with paypal or is it done automatically?

Also, there is no bank account on my paypal and when i got a refund it automatically transferred it to my prepaid debit card.|||You can only transfer money to a bank account number, not a card.

No, you have to transfer the refund yourself or it will stay in your Paypal account. You can request a check to be mailed for a fee but without a bank account you cant transfer money.

What's the difference between account balance and available balance?

I now I've already asked but I still don't get it.

I've got 拢30 in my account balance and 拢5 in my available balance, what's does that mean? and can I claim my account balance?

Thank you|||it means that you can only withdraw 拢5

the other 拢25 is what they call ear marked...

if there is something that you have bought that is due to come out your account and it is in that process, or if paid in cheque of 拢25 then is in process of going into your account.|||Account balance is what is actually your money but not what you can always withdraw. Available is what you can actually spend, this will include your overdraft as well (if you have one). So things that affect these balances:

Your 拢30 account balance and 拢5 available could be because you have spent money using a debit card and the money hasn't left your accoutn but has been 'reserved' so that you don't spend it again or you may have put in a cheque that hasn't cleared. So either your available balance will stay at 拢5 once the money has been paid to the shop/internet site you have paid money to and this will also change your account balance to say the same or your available will change to show that your cheques have cleared and whatever your overdraft might be.|||When you deposit a cheque into your account it takes approximately 3 to 5 working days to clear. That is the time it takes for your bank to send the cheque to the other bank and ask them for the cash so that they can put it into your account.

So the account balance is 拢30 because it includes that cheque you recently banked into it. However as the cheque has not cleared yet, you can only draw 拢5 at the moment.

In a few days when the cheque has cleared you will be able to draw out the remaining 拢25.|||Usually this means that you've bought something using a card (ie for 拢25) or a direct debit is due out that hasn't been taken out of your account yet, but your bank has 'ringfenced' that amount so you can't spend it. So your balance shows as 拢30 cos the 拢25 hasn't been taken out yet, but you only have 拢5 available to actually spend. Unless you have an overdraft, I doubt you'll be able to draw out any more than 拢5.|||Right your account balance is what is technically in your account and your avaliable balance is what you can withdraw / access. U can't claim your account balance. Reasons your account balance can be higher than your avaliable balance are for example money that hasn't cleared in your account yet or money that has been reserved in your account for payment such as direct debits or card payments u have made in a shop which hasn't actually left your account yet but is due to at some point. Basically pay no attention to your account balance - u can't access it - and just check ur avaliable balance.|||Balance is the total amount that a person has in his account, including all pending transactions while, available balance is the amount that is available for transfer or withdrawal.|||the same thing happens to me when I deposit cheques into my account, I think it is because they are waiting to be approved, it's either that or that fact that your account could require a minimum amount (25) in it all times

What is the importence of water balance in water supply and demand management?

I would love to know how water balance can be useful in managing water supply and demand. Its applications. Also link to such information. Thanks|||The Water Balance

The water balance is an accounting of the inputs and outputs of water. The water balance of a place, whether it be an agricultural field, watershed, or continent, can be determined by calculating the input, output, and storage changes of water at the Earth's surface. The major input of water is from precipitation and output is evapotranspiration. The geographer C. W. Thornthwaite (1899-1963) pioneered the water balance approach to water resource analysis. He and his team used the water-balance methodology to assess water needs for irrigation and other water-related issues.

The Water Balance

To understand water-balance concept, we need to start with its various components:

Precipitation (P). Precipitation in the form of rain, snow, sleet, hail, etc. makes up the primarily supply of water to the surface. In some very dry locations, water can be supplied by dew and fog.

Actual evapotranspiration (AE). Evaporation is the phase change from a liquid to a gas releasing water from a wet surface into the air above. Similarly, transpiration is represents a phase change when water is released into the air by plants. Evapotranspiration is the combined transfer of water into the air by evaporation and transpiration. Actual evapotranspiration is the amount of water delivered to the air from these two processes. Actual evapotranspiration is an output of water that is dependent on moisture availability, temperature and humidity. Think of actual evapotranspiration as "water use", that is, water that is actually evaporating and transpiring given the environmental conditions of a place. Actual evapotranspiration increases as temperature increases, so long as there is water to evaporate and for plants to transpire. The amount of evapotranspiration also depends on how much water is available, which depends on the field capacity of soils. In other words, if there is no water, no evaporation or transpiration can occur.

Potential evapotranspiration (PE). Potential evapotranspiration is the amount of water that would be evaporated under an optimal set of conditions, among which is an unlimited supply of water. Think of potential evapotranspiration of "water need". In other words, it would be the water needed for evaporation and transpiration given the local environmental conditions. One of the most important factors that determines water demand is solar radiation. As energy input increases the demand for water, especially from plants increases. Regardless if there is, or isn't, any water in the soil, a plant still demands water. If it doesn't have access to water, the plant will likely wither and die.

Soil Moisture Storage (ST). Soil moisture storage refers to the amount of water held in the soil at any particular time. The amount of water in the soil depends soil properties like soil texture and organic matter content. The maximum amount of water the soil can hold is called the field capacity. Fine grain soils have larger field capacities than coarse grain (sandy) soils. Thus, more water is available for actual evapotranspiration from fine soils than coarse soils. The upper limit of soil moisture storage is the field capacity, the lower limit is 0 when the soil has dried out.

Change in Soil Moisture Storage (DST). The change in soil moisture storage is the amount of water that is being added to or removed from what is stored. The change in soil moisture storage falls between 0 and the field capacity.

Deficit (D) A soil moisture deficit occurs when the demand for water exceeds that which is actually available . In other words, deficits occur when potential evapotranspiration exceeds actual evapotranspiration (PE%26gt;AE). Recalling that PE is water demand and AE is actual water use (which depends on how much water is really available), if we demand more than we have available we will experience a deficit. But, deficits only occur when the soil is completely dried out. That is, soil moisture storage (ST) must be 0. By knowing the amount of deficit, one can determine how much water is needed from irrigation sources.

Surplus (S) Surplus water occurs when P exceeds PE and the soil is at its field capacity (saturated). That is, we have more water than we actually need to use given the environmental conditions at a place. The surplus water cannot be added to the soil because the soil is at its field capacity so it runs off the surface. Surplus runoff often ends up in nearby streams causing stream discharge to increase. A knowledge of surplus runoff can help forecast potential flooding of nearby streams.

A government can balance a budget by spending less, borrowing or increasing its income. What are the problems?

A government can balance a budget by spending less, borrowing or increasing its income. What are the problems that could occur in each method of balancing the budget?|||The concept of balancing a budget by borrowing defies the usual meaning of a balanced budget. It is a deficit budget when any borrowing is needed.

National debt of course is assumed to be permanent and increasing, because neither reducing spending nor increasing taxes will win votes. One wins votes by cutting taxes, increasing spending, and of course borrowing from tomorrow, which will be doomed to do the same.

The objective of both taxation and borrowing money are the same. They both remove surplus money from the economy so that inflation does not get out of control driven by government spending. There will also be times when the economy acts as though it has too little money, or that money is circulating too slowly to drive the economy.

In those situations printing money to buy back some of the national debt can in effect undue the effect of selling too many bonds. Odd as it may seem, we find the process of printing money and buying back debt somehow threatening while we see selling bonds and canceling the money less threatening.

We as individual taxpayers object to paying taxes to protect the value of the currency, even if we know that the effect of leaving that money in circulation may cost us more. We vehemently object to having spending cutback when we are being paid from that spending.

And we the objecting voters will vote for anyone who will give us more spending and less taxation.|||1. Borrowing is NOT balancing the budget. By DEFINITION, a balanced budget means no borrowing is necessary.

2. A government CAN'T increase its income any more than YOU can just decide to increase yours. The money has to come from SOMEWHERE.

3. Governments COULD cut spending, but the NEVER do. That is why nearly EVERYONE in office needs to be replaced.|||Spending less: Everyone crys when you spend less on their program. Heaven forbid you should cut welfare benefits.

Borrowing: You are placing the debt on future generations and the cost of this method is BY FAR the highest. In general, for every $1 billion borrowed, $2 billion is spent on interest.

Increasing Income: This is ONLY done by increaseing YOUR taxes. Do you see the problem with that immediately?

How many of my credit cards should have a balance?

I have 5 credit cards with different limits and rates.I'm in the process of paying them all off, however I know you need to have balances on your cards for healthy credit. How many cards should have a balance and how many should be unused?|||Check the terms of the accounts to see if/when they charge inactivity fees. Having zero balances on them all would not be bad for your credit score, but it's better to show future creditors that you are making monthly payments and handling credit responsibly. Right now you're making payments to several cards and it shows on your report. Once you pay one account off, the report will still show you are making payments to the others - which is good. Focus on paying off one account, then only use that card if it charges an inactivity fee after so many months - use it for something small you were going to buy anyway, like gasoline, and pay off the entire balance before the due date and only do this every so many months to avoid the inactivity fee.

To pay off debt, take a targeted approach. Prioritize your debts, make the minimum payments on all debts except #1 on your list. Once that debt is paid off, take what you were paying toward it and put it toward #2 on the list. There are a few approaches to prioritizing debts: lowest balance, highest interest rate, highest minimum monthly payment. Lowest balance will mean paying off one account the fastest. Highest interest will generally save you more money in the long run. Highest monthly payment will mean more money freed up for the next debt. Each of these are valid approaches. Below is an excel template that may help you determine the best way to pay off debt; you can run scenarios and see the account pay off dates and total amount paid for each scenario.

The best way to use a credit card is to keep the balance below 30% of the credit limit and pay off the entire balance each month. This builds your credit history and avoids interest charges. Once you are debt-free on all the cards, make a plan that works for you as to which card to use for what.|||What you think you know is wrong. You do not need to have balances on your cards for healthy credit. The more balances you have on your cards, the less healthy your credit is. Your credit is healthiest if you do not have balances on your cards.|||Minimum balance in cards is a policy matter of each institution. It should not be generalized. You are advised to get the requisite balance information from the concerned institutions. Good Luck|||I was told by my bank about a month ago, that the government considers having 3 credit cards being paid monthly is average/ideal. they said 5 is almost above average.

How can I improve my balance postures in yoga?

I know that practice makes perfect and it will take time to get the strength I need to properly balance. But what else can I be doing to improve my balance postures and not waver and shake or fall? What sorts of external factors can affect my balance (lack of sleep, dehydration, certain foods, medications, anything)?

Thanks!|||Drink lots of water, eat healthy, when you're balancing make sure your feet are flat, and most importantly concentrate. And of coarse practice which you already know.|||I don't know about any external factors, but for a fact, Wii Fit Yoga really really helps.|||keep practicing every day, but make sure to have enough water of you will get dehydrated.

Which mayo has better flavor, Hellmans canola or smart balance?

I am planning on making a tuna salad with a healthier type of mayo than just regular hellmans, but wasn't sure which mayo to use.

I've used the smart balance mayo to make spinach dips and its come out well, plus it has no saturated fat. How can you use a simple balance three times to determine which coin is counterfeit?

You have twelve coins, one of which is a counterfeit and weighs less than the legal coins. How can you use a simple balance three times to determine which coin is a counterfeit?|||You made it easy by saying that the coin is lighter.

You simply

1. put 6 coins on each side of the balance and see which side is lighter

2. take the 6 coins from the lighter side and arrange 3 on each side of the balance.

3. take the 3 coins from the lighter side once again, and put 1 coin on each side (doesn't matter which of those coins you pick)

A. if the 2 coins are the same weight, then the third one is the counterfeit

B. if one of the coins is lighter, the lighter coin is the counterfeit!

What is the difference in a balance transfer and paying your bill with another credit card?

I have an old credit card that has about $700 on it. I recently received a new card from a different company that has 0% interest for the first 6 months. Can I pay off my old credit card with my new one or is this considered a balance transfer?|||It would be best to do a balance transfer, they will charge you 3% (check the cards agreement) to make sure and also check the interest clause.

You cannot make payment to the old card using the new one unless you do a balance transfer or go and do a cash advance for the money, a cash advance is a much higher interest rate. Again check the new cards terms and conditions before you do anything, you want to know how much the fees are and how high the interest is for a cash advance.

How do you balance chemical word equations?

I have this chemistry worksheet and I'm quite stumped by it. I've never been that great when it came to science or math, so this is all over the head. Can someone explain to me how to balance these equations?

Directions: Write the word equations below as chemical equations and balance.

1) Aluminum bromide and chlorine gas react to form aluminum chloride and bromine gas.

2) Copper and sulfuric acid react to form copper (II) sulfate and water and sulfur dioxide.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!|||Like a baseball game, it helps to have a scorecard. In other words, what do the words mean when it comes to describing compounds. Once you have surmounted this barrier, balancing follows.

Start with "aluminum bromide". If you look it up, it is AlBr3. Why? Aluminum can shed 3 outer electrons to form an Al+3 ion and Br (which, as an element, exists as a dimer, Br-Br), can "suck up" one electron per atom to form Br-. Chlorine is also a dimer (Cl-Cl). However, Cl is more adapt at "sucking up" electrons than is Br, so it can boot the Br- out of the compound, take its electron, and leave a Br atom (which rapidly reacts with another unhappy Br that has been booted out). This may sound silly, but it is about what happens, and leads us to balance. The conversion to compounds and dimers leads to....

AlBr3 + Cl2 -%26gt; AlCl3 + Br2

Balancing an equation simply means that every atom on one side is accounted for on the other. Here, the chlorines and bromines are out of balance. So how do we even them out?? Well, if we double the AlBr3 (and we have to double the whole compound, and not just one part), we get 6 bromines on the left. Since the bromine winds up in a dimerized form, for those 6 bromines, they can be balanced by 3Br2. The same deal with Chlorine. So then, we have

2 AlBr3 + 3 Cl2 -%26gt; 2 AlCl3 + 3Br2.

On to #2. The sulfuric acid (H2SO4) serves to oxidize elemental copper to the +2 state. Some of the acid provides SO4-2 ion for the copper salt. However, if something goes "up" in oxidation state, something else goes "down". And that something is the "S" in H2SO4, which drops from +6 oxidation to +4 oxidation in SO2.

The rules of oxidation states is pretty easy. Elements are 0, hydrogen in a compound is +1 and oxygen is -2. Compounds have to be overall 0. There are exceptions, but not too many to worry about at this stage.

In this mess, some additional water is formed, since we have to do something with the 4Os in each molecule of H2SO4; 2 wind up in SO2, the other 2 wind up in water. So lets try to balance this

Cu + H2SO4 -%26gt; CuSO4 + SO2 + H2O

For starters, we need more H2SO4 per atom of Cu. Lets double it to get...

Cu + 2H2SO4 -%26gt; CuSO4 + SO2 + H2O.

Looks better, but doubling the H2SO4 means we have 4H on the right and 2 on the left. Also, we have 8O on the left and seven on the right.

So lets double the amount of water formed.....

Cu+ 2H2SO4 -%26gt; CuSO4 + SO2 + 2H2O

Hopes this helps.|||Step 1. Write the chemical equation. --- To do this, you need to know what the words mean.

Step 2. Balance the chemical equation. --- The number of atoms on the left has to be the same as on the right. i.e. if the are 2 Cl on the left, there needs to be 2 Cl on the right.

Step 3 (or maybe step 0.5) Open your text book and read it. --- To do this, pick up you chemistry text and put it in front of you. Grab the cover and open the book. I am guessing that this material is somewhere in the first five chapters. You might want to start at the beginning and go from there. While reading, think about what you are reading, reread what you don't understand. Follow through the worked examples, and maybe try some of the sample problems. Ask your teacher about any questions that you may have. They are called a teacher for a reason, because they teach you. There is no excuse for sucking your way through life, especially when science and math are so essential to everything.|||1) Cl2 + 2AlBr3 --%26gt; 2AlCl + 3Br2

2) Cu + 2H2SO4 --%26gt; CuSO4 + 2H2O + SO2|||1) 2AlBr3 + 3Cl2 --%26gt; 2AlCl3 + 3Br2

2) Cu + 2H2SO4 --%26gt; CuSO4 + 2H2O + SO2

What upsets the balance of life and how does life regain its balance?

I'm reminded of the symbol of Justice as a woman, blindfolded, holding scales...

?

Does killing a fly upset the balance?

What sets things right again?|||What sets things right again?

If one judges another the scale becomes out of balance.

If one judges one-self, and judges not others, the scale will right itself and once again become balanced.

One must make sure that the scale no longer gets out of balance, by judging others.

If ones stubborn mind were to become blindfolded, one would no longer be able to judge others, for one would be to busy judging only one-self.

Then one would simply become an "observer".

One might then experience "contentment".

*footnote - Judging another is many times heavier than the weight of thousands of flies.

May we all become judgmentally blindfolded.

How should government regulators strike a balance?

This is a discussion! Please do not leave rude comments. Thank you!

How should government regulators strike a balance between the costs of regulations and the benefits of regulation?|||They should not. Regulations do not help one iota. The marketplace should be the only "regulator" out there and the government should not interfere with the marketplace at all, otherwise you get distortions and artificial imbalances. That is probably the cause of all the financial mess that we have today.

Take for example 2 industries in the United States, one with GOVERNMENT regulation and one with MARKETPLACE regulation. Take the FDA (Food and Drug Admin) as a government body to regulate drugs and other consumables. It cost taxpayers $662 million annually to run the bureaucracy and it still falls short. Moreover, it entices big shots in the FDA to be corrupt as they hold immense power to decide which companies gets approval and which companies don't. Drug companies on the other hand have to hire not only people to develop effective drugs, but also people to handle the bureaucracy within the FDA. It is not inconceivable that these people will be more highly paid than the people who make or market the drugs. Therefore, it cost not only the taxpayers so much money, but it cost the drug companies so much more such that the cost of drugs goes up.

Compare this to another industry, the computer security industry. There are nowadays, tons of malicious things going on in the world of computers. From early computer viruses to internet worms, hacks and exploits, companies can literally go under overnight if their entire IT infrastructure were compromised. However, there is no government regulation on how each company should operate where computer security is concerned. The marketplace is full of solutions with regards to computer security, it doesn't cost the tax payer anything and companies decides how much security they need.|||Most regulators are not given much choice. Congress sets the rules and most implementation policies must be approved. Any time regulators differ from Congresses intent Congress can simply clarify the rules.

When it comes to Congress considering the cost benefit ratio of regulations, I see no evaluation, only what is best for the political party that has the votes. That is why we will see massive changes in regulations of all government branches after Obama becomes President.

How do i keep my balance while doing a handstand?

im trying to get into hip hop dancing mostly breaking, but before i do that, i want to get better with balance! im trying to learn the handstand for right now and its hard to keep my balance, what are some tips on keeping balance?

also, what workouts should i do regularly to get me in shape for breaking?|||You learn a lot about yourself and how your body works when learning balancing trick. Eventually you'll soon learn how each part of your body can work together to establish balance.

Here are some tips you'll find helpful:

1.) Straighten out your elbows so that the load is transferred directly to your shoulders

2.) Hands shoulder width apart

3.) Use the balls and heel of your palms to counteract over-balance and under-balance, respectively

4.) Keep your legs somewhat stiff, but relaxed

5.) Practice leaning against a wall first to get a feel of being upside down.

6.) It's better to kick hard such that you over balance, in which case you use the balls of your palm to establish balance.

7.) Do a lot of bodyweight exercises to strengthen shoulders, biceps, triceps, forearms, etc.

8.) Don't forget to breathe|||Push ups and weight lifting are good for arm strength. You also should do sit ups/crunches for core strength, which is also important.

As for balance in the handstand, start against a wall and go from there. Once you've mastered that, try without it. The key is just to find your center of balance. Once you find it, things should be much better.|||Hold your center in.

I don't think neither biking, walking or jogging requires much mental balance because when I do these to much I get so bored and it feels more like a grind.|||If you're getting bored, try some sort of exercise that involves changing up your activities regularly (like a class or video). How can you find the principal balance at a given period for a loan calculated in Excel?

I'm trying to work on a spreadsheet for a few home loan options. I'd like some way to calculate the principal balance at the end of a few periods such as after 5, 10 , 15, %26amp; 20 years. I'm not quite sure how do do it though. If possible, I'd like to avoid creating a whole amortization table but any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!|||If you want to do in in excel, you can use start from the file you can find in this page: http://www.vertex42.com/ExcelTemplates/a鈥?/a>

Depending on the options you are considering, you could also find useful this free online advanced calculator: http://www.mortgagecalculator3.com/|||When you contract a loan with any lender, say a bank, they normally provide you a schedule of payment as part of the terms and conditions of your loan. The lender normally dictates the terms of any loan transactions unless you are a prime customer of the bank then maybe you can strike a term at your own convenience. Normally, the bank uses a declining balance method of amortization for any term loan. I the loan is for business or for particular project, the estimated future cash in flows of the project are important in determining whether your loan is going to be favorably approved. But since your problem is simply to know the principal balance at the end of a period, then all you need to do is determine first the amount you will be able to remit to pay the principal. By the way, the principal is normally divided equally over the number of payment periods agreed upon mutually between you the borrower and the lender. The principal balance then should be zero at the end of the period agreed upon.

What government would be the perfect balance between communism and anarchy?

Communism, being the controlled equality side, and anarchy, being the freedom side.

Which form of government would or could have the perfect balance between these two?|||We're in it. It's called a Republic.|||Anarchy is not having a government and communism is an economic system. They can go together just fine see anarcho-communism or ararcho-syndicalism. And technically true communism must be anarchic.|||You can't have freedom and equality at the same time. How does the balance sheet equation work out with regards to amortization?

Let's say a company has at the beginning of a year

$100 in Cash

$100 in Inventories

------------------------------

$200 in Total Current Assets

$100 in Amortized Equipment

------------------------------

$300 in Total Assets

Suppose that throughout the year, there is no business activity.

So at the end of the year there is still $100 in cash, $100 in inventories, but the amortized equipment has dropped to $70 (assuming a amortization rate of 30%) .

So at the end of the year we have

$270 - Total Assets

Now Assets are supposed to be equal to Liabilities + Equity ("Balance Sheet Equation").

Since there has been no activity, there is no change in liabilities or equity.

How does the Balance Sheet equation work out at the end of the year?|||The equity (retained earnings) would go down $30 dollars. The ammortized depreciation is an expense, it is activity by definition. So the company would have $0 income, $30 expense, for a loss of $30, which lowers equity by $30.

Hope this helps.

How to work with the white balance on your camera?

I want to photograph some people outside in the snow. I have a Nikon D3000, and would like to know how to optimize my photos by adjusting the white balance when there is snow on the ground and it is daylight. Any suggestions?|||Set the white balance in auto, shoot wit RAW always and the in the postproduction phase, reduce the highlights until you get a exposure that you like it.

Your second option is to shoot in manual position, set a F 5.6 for instance and the time according to the exposimeter (the rule inside), but take the marker that moves, to the right side, I mean, instead of leaving the mark in the middle, put it on the right side by two marks. In that way, you are allowing to pass less light and your photos won't get over exposed.|||Shoot in RAW format and it is easy to sort out later any problems the auto white balance may have

http://digital-photography.suite101.com/鈥?/a>

The biggest problem in snow is the camera's meter tries to make the white snow gray and underexposes the shots.

You might use some exposure compensation after some test shots and analysis on the camera's histogram display on the rear LCD screen.

What is the best way to balance out animal and human species without having either one go extinct?

Limit population grow in wild areas and connect human population areas with eletric monorail systems so humans and animals stay safe from cars which should be phased out anyway. I'm sure there are other things we could do drastic or otherwise so what are your ideas for bringing balance back into the world?|||None of God's creation will be extinct in Eternity. Here and now,yes many species are,or will become extinct.Mankind however will not become extinct. The flesh (biological) body will no longer be in existence, however we will have a far superior body.It will be our spiritual body which does not age,or grow old, or get sick,or lame.It is immortal as it always has been since it's creation millions of years ago by God.

How do I calculate the present balance on a mortgage?

I am trying to calculate the unpaid balance of a mortgage for a given payment period, using a spreadsheet function.

For example, on a loan of 拢200,000 with an interest rate of 5.4% and a repayment period of 25 years, how could I calculate the amount to be repaid in the 24th month of the loan?

I wish to use standard spreadsheet functionality to calculate this.|||I have MS Excel 2003 which doesn't have this specific function wizard built in. It has a template for mortgage amortization tables which can be downloaded. However, you can create your own formula if you know what the monthly payment of the mortgage is. Create 5 columns; payment date, payment amt, interest pmt, principal pmt, and loan balance. For the first payment date create the row like this: In the interest column, your formula is 200000*.05/360*30. In the principal column your formula is payment amt - interest amt (the previous column). The loan balance column is 200000 - principal pmt. For the second payment date (and all rows after) use the same formula except for the loan balance. That formula would be the previous loan balance (the cell just above) - the principal pmt.

Copy the second row of formulas for the entire length of the loan (each row is one month).

It's much easier to show this on a spreadsheet than it is to write it out like this. Basically, mortgage interest is calculated by taking the loan amount times the interest rate and dividing it by 360 (avg number of days in a year). This gives you the daily interest amount. Multiply that by 30 days (avg number of days in a month) to get the total interest for the month. Subtract the interest from the monthly payment amount to get the amount applied to the principal. Subtract this from the total loan balance to get the new loan balance. Use this new loan balance to calculate interest and principal for the next month, and so on and so on...|||I would just call the place where I got my loan and ask them. It would only take a minute.|||It all depends at what point you are in the 25 years of the mortgage. If you are at the start, you've paid nothing on the principal.

The way mortgages work is that in the early years, virtually everyting you pay goes toward interest. As the years progress, greater and greater percentages go toward principal; and by the last years, everything goes toward principle. The ratio of principal to interest slides through the history of the loan.

God Bless,

-MiMo|||I've been there and done that and there are a couple of fundamental principles which you need to adopt and adhere to:-

Work/life balance basically rests on the 8:8:8 principle - 8 hours of work, 8 hours of sleep and 8 hours of recreation. Of course its not always possible to achieve this, but it is approximately what you should try to aim for.

You need to be REALLY well organised - not to the point of running your home like an army camp, but strategies like pre-planning your meals in advance, don't go shopping without a list and stick to it, make sure everyone in the family has enough clothing so that you only have to do a major wash once or twice a week, when you purchase new clothes for anyone, try to get ones that are machine-washable and don't need ironing, etc. etc. All these things take a bit of time in the first place, but believe me - they save you heaps at the end of the day.

Put a notice board up in your kitchen and make sure you pin notes, etc. to it and look at it every day - when you know you have a commitment in advance (especially school!), put it up on the board and make sure everyone else in the family is also aware of it.

Make sure everyone in the family shares the load - and yes, that includes your little girl. Assign simple tasks for her to do (like picking up her own toys and putting them away) and reward her with a little pocket money when she does. As she gets older, she can undertake more complicated tasks like making her own bed, washing up the dishes, etc. This also applies to your partner (if you have one) - make sure that when you're at the stove cooking dinner after a long day at work, he/she is not reclining on the lounge waiting for the food to miraculously appear. A good arrangement here is that whoever cooks doesn't have to wash the dishes - and remember, the way you start as a working mum is the way you'll end up. Make sure everyone knows the rules at the outset and don't let them break them. I'm not suggesting here that you become a complete dragon, but be firm and hold you ground when the family wants to make you their slave.

When you do cook, try to make it really count by cooking healthy recipes in large quantities and freezing portions (if you don't have a freezer, it really is a good, long term investment). Not only do you save energy by really utilising your stove/oven, it allows you to produce a meal in a hurry on those inevitable occasions when everything goes haywire - defrost it, steam some fresh vegies and presto! you have a nutritious meal on the table in double-quick time.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to keep in mind as a working mum is that you need to make time for yourself on a reasonably regular basis - whether this is private time to have a nap or go and get your hair and nails done, make YOU time part of your schedule and don't let anyone talk you out of it - it's really easy to become a complete and total slave to your family - you owe it to yourself (and your family) to not do this.

The 2nd MOST IMPORTANT thing of all to remember is to get your priorities in line and keep them there. Sometimes it really is better to spend time with your daughter (and partner?) instead of vacuuming the floor if you haven't got time to do both. The floor will wait to be vacuumed, but children grow so fast and lost time with her is something you'll never get back.

Last of all, try to stay calm and tranquil no matter what's going down - recognise that even though you are probably a Super-Mum, you are still only human and are allowed to get it wrong occasionally - when the wheels fall off, don't beat yourself up over it ... have a laugh, chill and don't let it get to you.

Remember, at the end of the day, YOU are in control here.

What is the difference between accoung balance and available balane?

The question is above and which balance do i go with?? Thanks for any help|||You go with the available balance.

Available is literally what is available to spend, account balance is the overall balance but the difference between the two is what is in the 'reserve', which is basically direct debits or card payments waiting to clear.

A bit confusing I know, so here's an example:

You have 拢500 in your account, you then spend 拢100 on your card in a shop. That 拢100 is then reserved until the payment clears, so if you were to go to an ATM it'd show:

Account balance: 500.00

Available balance: 400.00|||Your available balance is what you can actually withdrawl and spend. Your account balance is your balance pending any transactions like deposits or withdrawls from your account that have not cleared yet.

Lets say my Available Balance is $100 and i made a check deposit of $600 and it wont be put up online until the next business day and i want to make a purchse of $300 right now. Will i get charged an overdraft fee?|||Probably not. If you purchase something today, it usually takes a couple days for the transaction to get to your bank. Plus, the bank does not record transactions at night, so the earliest the bank could receive the charge would be the next day, so you are covered. Good luck!

Are some bicycles easier to balance and ride on than others?

What bikes are easier to balance and ride on? Do you think bikes with smaller tires are easier to ride than bikes with bigger tires?|||That is an interesting question. On one hand, bikes with smaller (26" wheels) have a slightly lower center of gravity, therefore are less tippy than a bike with 27" or (700c) wheels. On the other hand, the gyroscopic effect of larger diameter wheels also "holds you up" while you are moving, hence you now see some 29" wheel mountain bikes. BMX bikes have very small wheels for a very low center of gravity for tricks and maneuverability. The bottom line is you can easily ride or balance on a road bike or a mountain bike. The type of bike you choose should be more based on the tupe of riding you plan to do.|||makes no differnce trikes are easy|||A recumbent is harder to balance.|||Not really understand your questions, but..

for me it's not about the tires (I'm not sure what you mean by tires, we usually called it wheels).

For balance, it's not about the wheels. Of course 2 wheels balance more than one wheel bike (bikes for circus), and 3 wheels balanced more than 2 wheels bike, and so on. And for sure, wheels size would be not too big or too small.

But if you are talking about easier to ride on, I think for a begginer cyclist, MTB (Mountain Bikes) model are the easier to handle, better than Road Bike. But, if you think MTB still difficult to ride, you can choose the common bikes which also can be called as 'road bikes', where the different is the purpose. This one usually called as Lifestyle bikes. You could check it (for example) on the Giant brand bikes:

What is the minimum negative balance for the bank to report you to chexsystems?

I refuse to pay TD Banks overdraft fee when i have a receipt that shows my CASH deposit was made on time and my balance was enough to cover my check which had not been presented yet, And the receipt mentions nothing about the money not being available to cover checks if made after 6pm. It's only 35 bucks but I'm a single mom and every dollar counts.|||There is no minimum amount required as long as the negative balance is more than 0.00.

All there is, is a minimum amount of days that your account can remain overdrawn before its sent to checksystems. Some banks have it at 120 days, after which your account is closed.

Check with your bank to see how long you need to have your account back to good standing.

janice.

http://approvalsloan.com|||Call the division of banks in your state and see if they will intervene on your behalf. It's a long shot. Typically, deposits made after 6 pm are not credited until the next day (and there is often a sign at the bank or near the ATM alerting customers to that policy). But, if the bank gets a call from a politician, they might be more lenient.

If that fails, you may want to pay the fee. Getting reported to CHEX is really bad and will mess up your life for a long time. You will pay much more in money order fees within a year than you will pay to get the $35 taken care of.

Sorry - wish I had better advice to offer you.|||I have seen some people that were reported for as little as 13 cents

Generally how could I improve my balance so that I can ride better. My friend says stuff like surfing so please could I have some more suggestions and what has worked for you. Thanks:)|||You have to learn how to relax your lower back muscles, and "unlock" your hips. I found that "Zumba" classes really helped me a lot. Being able to unlock your lower back and move with the horse will help you balance a lot!

It's also nice to do squats on a balance ball.|||The best thing to do is keep riding. An the more pracise you do the better balance you will get from riding. Some things that are good for balancing are lunge lessons as they work on just you and your postition , also no stirrups is a very good way to help core stability and balance , you could also try puttin your stirrups up a few holes and get into light forward seat or jump postition which will not only help with your balance but at the same time strengthen your leg muscles.

It takes time to become balanced correctly on a horse and the more you ride the easier it will be for you.|||If your horse will work good on a lung line you could have someone lunge her for you while you ride bareback, sit relaxed and practice riding with your hands on your hips, waist, shoulders, arms stretched out, up and down and when you can do that at a canter withoud touching anything with your hands and not squeezing with your legs you will be much better balanced.

If you can't do it bare back try it with the saddle but do not use the stirrups.|||ride with no stirrups or even no saddle depending on how well behaved your horse is i have a school master and give lessons on him to a fiew young girls on the farm 1 got a 3 year old on loan and had no balance ATALL so i offered to give her lessons started with walk and trot with no stirrups put a martingale on my horse so when she lost her balance she wasn't yanking his mouth out and now she is jumping bare back, but if your horse is very sensitive to the leg i would not suggest this way as it is not safe, i hope this is some help for you|||get someone to lunge you lots .If you do lots of exercises at different paces with no stirrups this will strengthen all the core muscles ,secure your seat %26amp; improve your balance %26amp; suppleness .My first experience at a international yard was half hour lunge lessons after work cause the horses were sooo good %26amp; i sat a bit squint ,they thought i was asking them to go sideways !!|||besides riding - you need to work on your core. so yoga positions are very good!

on the horse do excercises like no stirrups..

or bounces - this relys on your body being completly balanced!

i find that going out on hacks with a friend and cantering around together at various speeds changing direction or popping over small logs has helped with my balance, as this means your cores coping with keeping you on the horse! this is only ok if you have places to hack and a safe horse.

yoga and horse excersizes have helped me!|||On the horse my advice would be to cross your stirrups regularly and do as much as you can without them, this will also deepen your seat. Off the horse, if you feel you need more help then you need to get a wii fit with the balance board. Incredible the difference it makes to posture and balance!|||It depends on what type of saddle you currently use. If you are riding in a stock/western saddle I would try and all purpose. Or just take your stirrups off and ride without. Or even go bareback. These will all develop your balance further. The only thing that has worked for me is practise and experience... so keep riding!|||well i have a horse been riding scenc i was 4yrd n its all about balance u got learn how to set sraight up kinda lean forward but not 2 much or ur back will start hurting n if ur new at it hold 1 hand on tha sadle horn n barly put ur feet in the sterups push ur knees kinda inwards n ther u go all da balance u need|||Yoga is excellent for posture and balance- Pilates too. There's a lot of excellent balance games on the wii fit, which of course you can do in your own home!|||Ride, ride, ride. you can also try ; no stirrups, bareback, closing your eyes. And any exercises that strengthens your core.|||all you have to do is make sure your heels are down and your legs are right by the horses side..That is most of where your balance comes from..See my questions please!|||strengthen your core. ballet and dance worked for me.|||when you are riding,

look between the pony's ears :)

My daughter is 5 and she has terrible balance. How can I help her develop better balance?

She has terrible balance. She always has. She is trying to learn to ride a bike - it is terrible. She experiences just as much difficulty on ice skates and roller skates. Is there anything I can do to help her develop this?|||have her ears checked! If there is no problem there, then yes, we found something we were able to do with one of our adopted sons who also had a real problem there. We built a 'balance beam' a few inches off the floor and helped him learn to walk it. It was just a 4 x 4 beam, as I recall, nailed on to a couple of 2 x 4 cross beams at each end. I don't remember how long it was, but maybe six feet? All the kids enjoyed playing on it. If you are worried too much about her slipping and hurting herself, put a couple of old folded up blankets on each side.

Play hopscotch with her. Play jump rope with her. Simple, easy stuff for you and me but it will be hard for her, so just do little short games.

Check her diet. Make sure she is getting enough good food. If you can, eliminate anything artificial: flavorings, colorings, preservatives... this can sometimes contribute to physical problems.

And enough sleep.

but first, get her ears checked. Not her hearing, but her ears themselves. Our main sense of balance is located in the inner ear.|||Then consult your pediatrician. Otherwise it is a matter of time and development. Keep trying but don't push so hard that she gives up. Children develop at different rates. If your concerns are such that you feel compelled to have an evaluation, a sensory integration specialist would be a good way to start. Two of the myriad of systems that develop neurologically to help us achieve control over our balance and coordination are the vestibular and proprioceptive systems. The vestibular system is balance and an innate understanding of our bodies in relation to the earth (place in space). The proprioceptive system is muscle memory that develops with repetitive motion. For example, it is how you know where things are in your car without looking.

These systems develop differently in each child. There are "windows" of development, periods of time during which you expect certain developmental stages to occur. You can find the standards in any number of books but you must also look at your own family history to see if there is a history of "late bloomers" etc.

As I have said twice already, consult a doctor or specialist if you feel your daughter is abnormally delayed. In all things, have patience. She wants to do these things badly enough without feeling that she might disappoint you by not achieving them right away.|||I do not know if this is a concern for her ears or not,but I would get a balance beem or one of those balance things you stand on and rotate on.Keep it in the house and let her keep at it.Also keep trying the things you are doing, riding a bike, skating.Sometimes they take time,it doesn't always mean that there is something medically wrong with her.

I know lots of clumsy, smart, healthy people.

Enroll her in gymnastics or a tumbling class.|||After you confirm there's no inner ear problem (or any other medical problem) which might cause this...enroll your daughter into dance/ballet classes. Not only will she develop coordination..but also confidence.

Another option might be gymnastic or martial arts classes.

My experience though was with dance classes, as my daughter took 15 years of dance classes (ballet, jazz, tap, and modern) before she went to college for it and she now teaches little ones herself.|||I鈥檓 no expert, so here are some links to some websites.

Dancing in general can help also the health of the body and the energy is amazing. Basically dancing it better then almost any activity (what i think any way).

Register her to a few classes and look at the results.

Have a great dancing day|||I agree. You should have her ears checked. After that...go to the park and play balancing games with her. Walk an imaginary tight rope! Walk on a path of rocks. Have a contest to see who can stand on one foot the longest (let her win a few times)|||Try a scooter (the 2-wheeled kind) before working on riding a 2-wheel bike. I really think that helped my kids gain confidence in their balance.|||Have her ears checked.

How to balance romance and adventure into a novel?

I recently just finished the 2nd draft of my first novel in a 7 part series and now I'm embarking on the 2nd novel and my question is how do you balance romance and adventure so that there isn't more then the other. I want it to be evenly balanced.|||It's tough, most authors will tend to lean towards one or the other. When I write I tend to play to my strengths and prioritise adventure and horror while using romance amongst other things to help flesh out the story and the characters to make the reader care.

If you want a balance of each then the most obvious thing to say is try and devote a similar amount of the text to both. I suppose if you divide it up into adventure and romance scenes it is going to feel disjointed so make an effort to blend the two (it'll read more naturally that way as well).

Without knowing what you are writing I don't really know what more to tell you. Good luck with your novel.

What question is needed to ask a company before having a balance transfer pay it off?

I'm going to be paying off 3 cards with a balance transfer from a 4th card. Clearly I need to call the 3 credit card companies and require the current balance? A friend told me I need to find out what the PAY OFF balance is? Anyone heard of that?

Is it true that once a card has an annual fee it always will?|||The current credit balance is always on the Internet, unless you charged that day, or there is a pending balance. What good is a transfer if you don't pay off the whole amount anyway?

Annual fees sometimes can be waived by the company, but they usually do it for a good customer.

You have to have the card for a while before they do that.

Good luck.|||A payout balance is the balance of your account including interest up to the day they expect to receive your payment. Your account accumulates interest on a daily basis, which is then lumped together on your monthly statement. So if you got your last statement on say Sept. 25, you have interest being added each day until your balance is paid in full. So when you call for your balance, ask for the payout and they will calculate that daily interest for you. Otherwise, when you get your next statement, you will have just interest charges.

And yes, unless you receive a notice regarding changes to your annual fee, you will be charged this fee every 12 months until your account is closed - whether or not it is active.|||Pay off balance is the amount that you have to pay in order to no longer owe anything. This may be more than the actual balance if there are going to be fees, finance charges, or interest.

Once you have fully paid off the card, you can close the account. Once the account is closed AND has a zero balance, there is no more annual fee. If you leave it open, the fee will continue.|||Wow, you don't even know your balances on your credit cards? How do you know your 4th card has enough credit limit to pay off the first three credit card? So call the customer serivces on those 3 cards and find out how much you owe first. And once your 4th credit card got approved, learn how much is your credit limit second. Now figure out how much the 4th credit card gonna pay. Of course you want to pay/pay off the credit card with highest interest rate first. Once you decide which one(s) to pay/pay off, you can contact your 4th credit card company to proceed, they will take care of it with your other credit card companies. But make sure you don't max out this 4th card by tranferrings. Leave some available credit on this one....Yes, most likely if the credit card that have annual fee, it pretty much always will. KNOW HOW MUCH YOU OWE, AND ALSO KNOW HOW MUCH YOU MAKE. CUT OFF ALL 4 CREDIT CARDS AND START PAYING OFF YOUR DEBTS.|||redit card balance transfer is one of the preferred ways to get rid of credit card debt and is used by many people to get immediate relief. Credit card balance transfer essentially means that we transfer our outstanding balances from a high APR credit card to a credit card which offers low APR's. A 0% Intro APR credit card is the preferred credit card to transfer balances, but because of the widespread misuse of such credit card offers, credit card companies have withdrawn all such offers.

Indeed balance transfer saves a lot of money and can save things from going worse, but many people simply don't know the right way to do balance transfer. This article takes a look at the correct process to initiate and complete the balance transfer.

The first thing to look out, when a person wants to transfer his balances is a credit card which offers the lowest apr rates and lowest balance transfer fees. Many online credit card companies offer credit card comparisons. It is indeed a good practice to search for the credit cards using their services and decide on a credit card which offers the maximum savings. It is important to note here that balance transfer APRs depend on a person's credit history. If the credit card in question offers the lowest rates, it is definitely for those with the best credit ratings. There are different balance transfer apr's for people with lower credit ratings. So, it becomes imperative that one chooses the credit card which offers the lowest apr and balance transfer fees for his credit ratings.

When you decide for a balance transfer it doesn't mean that your obligation for payments towards your outstanding balances with the existing credit card company cease to exist. You will have to pay the credit card company all the monthly payments. One way you can save money is to just send the monthly minimum payments to the existing credit card company. This way you won't default and invite penalty. Read more from: http://www.credit-card-gallery.com/balan鈥?/a>

How to have a true balance with adopted kids and biological kids?

Me and my boyfriend adopted a kid who's a toddler now, and now I'm pregnant with probably twins or triplets. How should we balance our relationships between all children? Actually the problem is not me and my boyfriend because we will treat them fairly no matter what, but how do you teach kids to be fair to each other and also to the adopted kid I'm scared to have any issues that'll hurt my adopted kid. Thanks.|||Just do a favour to yourself pleezz do not tell him that kid is the adopted one..

Let him behave as he/she is the eldest brother/daughter of all.

and pleez do not ill treat him.|||I think you should just treat all the children the same. Don't make a big deal about one being adopted and the others not. When the time comes to explain it to everyone, just explain that there are a lot of different kinds of family, and as long as you love them all the same they will see that.

As for outside people, if they try to treat the adopted child like he/she is less then you need to tell them, you treat and love all my children equally or you do not get a chance to know them.|||you treat each child the same way, love them the same, and give each the same opportunities and support. If the adopted child isn't a different race and all I wouldn't broadcast to your biological children right away that their sibling is adopted.. but when they are old enough to understand and comprehend.. like 4 or 5 maybe 6.. just explain that all families are different and you love them all equally. Explain how special it is that they have a unique family and that nobody will ever get special treatment just because they are adopted or came from mommy. Talk to the adopted child now too and stress the same... that you love them very much and that will never ever change and that they will have an important role as a big sister/brother when the babies arrive and involve your child as much as possible.|||Dont make the fact that he is adopted an issue. Seriously it shouldnt even matter. he is legally your child, when your babies are born you will not treat him differently and that will teach them by example. Most of the times children that are raised with the adopted child treat them like a sibling, so you probably wont have anything to worry about.|||Just think of how crushed the adopted child will be and the issues "the kid" will have when you stop loving "the adopted kid" %26gt;:( I was adopted by my grandmother and I know she favors her actual childeren more and it pisses me off.|||Teach by example. Treat your adopted child no differently than your biological child.|||Treat them equal do everything with them show them the same love

When is it okay to write off a balance on a medical claim?

Scenario 1: Medicare primary allowed $85 on a $260 charge, paying $70, leaving $15 balance for the secondary insurance to pay. The secondary insurance (United Healthcare) paid $11.50 of the $15 balance, is it okay to write off the $3.50 balance or do you leave the balance for patient?

Scenario 2: United Healthcare primary allowed $85 on a $260 charge, paying $70, leaving $15 balance for the secondary insurance to pay. The secondary insurance (Medicare) paid $11.50 of the $15 balance, is it okay to write off the $3.50 balance or do you leave the balance for patient?

Scenario 3: Cigna primary allowed $85 on a $260 charge, paying $70, leaving $15 balance for the secondary insurance to pay. The secondary insurance (Aetna) paid $11.50 of the $15 balance, is it okay to write off the $3.50 balance or do you leave the balance for patient?|||Is your physician contracted with the insurance's listed above? If they are a contracted provider they MUST bill the patient for the balances. After 1 bill has been sent and no response the balances maybe discounted per your office policy, but an 'attempt' must be made. This is normally stated in the contract that your physician signed with the insurance companies to become participating.

Medicare has become increasingly strict on this in recent years. I have audited accounts regarding this and Medicare actually removed the doctors ability to bill them (participation revoked for a certain amount of time) for not abiding by the contracted terms. I always suggest that doctors include a section in their office policy's that state you will bill once and if no response with a balance under $XX.XX($5.00 or $10.00 your office picks) then the balance is written off to a specific account that you can track (ie:low balance write off-contracted vs non contracted write off) and if need be, you can run a report for various insurances if they request.|||In each case, you bill the patient. If you do not collect after a certain period of time, and used every resource you have, you can write it off. That is up to your practice as to what time frame. We have and do bill for everything that is due to us. It is worth the effort for us.|||In all three senarios, the EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) from the secondary payer will tell you if the $3.50 is a provider discount (for contracted rate), or if it is patient responsibility. If it says provider discount or contracted rate, you must write it off, because the EOB is telling you to. If it tells you it's the patient's responsibility, then you bill the patient. In the rare event it's unclear, you call the insurance for verification.|||I haven't dealt with Medicare Billing directly since the fee for service days, so my information may be a little dated.

It costs an average of $7 to get a bill out the door, so clearly it isn't in your financial interest to go after a $3.50 balance.

If Medicare is not in the picture, write it off. Private carriers do not care.

Medicare did. They required 3 bills to go out, at which point you could write it off as bad debt. Whether they still do or not, I do not know. Where they get involved is that you need to be charging the same fee no matter who you are seeing - which is of course a crock since everybody but the private pay patient gets a contractual allowance.

If you take Medicare, you may well still have to get those three bills out the door before you can write it off, or you are dealing with a regulartory issue called 'fraud'.

Obviously I would consult the Medicare site for the current hoops one needs to jump through. There may be a provision for low balance accounts.|||Any time the provider wants to, they can write off the balance. The problem is, when they start doing it, everyone wants them to do it, then they can't stay in business.

Also, insurance companies don't like it when they do that, so if, for example, Cigna finds out they're doing it, they'll drop them as a provider.

What is the Available Balance and just the Balance in my savings account?

It says I have a Balance of $431.36

And an Available Balance of $80.31

How can u give a balance time to your children and your career?

Being a working mom is hard.In your own opinion how can a mother balance their time between work and her home?|||I am a mother of 3 children. Two are grown and gone and I have one at home. When my older children were younger, I struggled with balancing work and home. I was busy building my career.

Today, I am not so busy building my career and I make time to be home and with my daughter. That is my recommendation. You have to decide that you want to be balanced. And then make decisions, daily about where you are investing your time. You can do both, but it takes discipline. You must schedule time for spending with your children. Make the time non-negotiable. Don't allow anything to get in the way of the time you have set aside.

The last thing I would share is this - If the job doesn't allow you to invest a lot of time with family, then make sure when you are with them, it is quality time. Make it fun. Make it about them. Make it stuff they want to do. Enjoy the time you do have and don't even worry, fret or invest negative energy in the time you don't have.

What organs control water balance in the body?

I know that the kidneys and the small intestine help maintain a water balance in the body, but are there any more organs or structures that help maintain water balance? If there is, could you explain to me how they work and how they maintain a water balance? Thanks.|||aldosterone controls the amount of water in body

when secreted it would cause the water and sodium to be retained in the body

there is another hormone called anf (atrial natriuritic factor) that will cause the water to be excreted from the kidney in cases of high blood pressure

but i think the most important hormone is the ADH(antidiuretic hormone) secreted from the posterior pituitary and this allows the water to be retained in the body but without the sodium and when some people have a deficient amount of this hormone they produce alot of urine like 15 liters a day in a situation called diabetes insipidus|||Sodium/potassium ion pumps help regulate a cells osmotic balance.

What is a credit card balance transfer and how does it work?

Got 2 old credit cards with small amounts-like one hundred dollars balance one each, but want to pay off quickly. Can't pay each credit card month to month either or separately. Don't need old credit cards no more. What do I do? Can anyone help me out? Only helpful and sensible answer are needed for my dilemma.|||While you don't need old credit cards, keep them running to keep your credit history current - they are invaluable at doing that, and if you close the account that will end up hurting you. There is usually a fee for transferring the money and at those small balances it is really more worth it to continue paying them off until they are done. If the balances were much higher then I'd suggest it, but you'd spend money to save money and that isn't worth it at this point. At this point, making the biggest payment you can would be your best bet. And one way might be to get a cash advance from one card, put that into your checking account and then write a check to pay the other card off - you may encounter a small interest balance so you'd need to call the bank to get an account total before paying. That would be one way to pay off a balance, and perhaps the simplest way.

How does closing a credit account after a balance transfer affect your credit?

I've read several yahoo answers about balance transfers in which the answerer advises NOT to close the credit account after transferring a balance. How does this negatively affect the account holder?|||The more credit that you have availiable to you ,that you carry a 0 ballance on increases your credit score. If the are no fees with your cards you should not close them,Ie Mastercard,Visa. You should use them occassionally and pay them off as soon as you get the bill.Never miss a payment and rember if you are paying your bill over the internet , it takes 3 days to process.A wise person will only use credit cards for nessities and pay it so as they get home. This will allow you to gain the rewards that some cards offer and yet pay no interest as remember for every 1000.00$ balance that you carry you are paying 30.00$ interest and that is a waste of money.|||the credit bureau wants to see a low balance to credit limit ratio. say you have a credit card with a 2000 limit and 1500 balance - that's a very high and bad 75% of your credit limit being used. Now you get a new card with a 2000 limit and transfer the 1500 balance - if you keep the old card open, now your % of credit used is only 1500/4000 = 37.5%. If you then close out the old card, your ratio goes back up to 75% and your credit score takes a hit - ideally - they want your balance to be less than 20% of your available credit|||It's weird but don't do it. Because of how FICO score is established closing an account lowers your debt to credit ratio and lowers your score.|||Hurts it because it decreases your total available credit and closes an older account in favor of a newer one. Leave it open with zero balance.

How can I get my balance without knowing the amount of the last deposit?

I moved to another state, and my mail was not forwarded due to a clerical error. I called the bank, but don't have the last statement. I contacted my job in NJ, and asked them to send a copy of my last paycheck. The only reason I am not certain of the dollar amount is that included with my pay is benefit time as well. I feel foolish, but I really need to balance this checkbook. Do I need to go in person?|||Do as the last person said, or call the bank and ask the person for the info. You should only need to give your account # and maybe SSN, and they should be able to tell you, or set you up with the net so you can see for yourself.|||With most major banks, you can sign up for online banking free. It's a great thing, you don't have to balance your checkbook based ona monthly statement, but rather see every transaction that goes in and out on a daily basis. I would try to do that first, you can probably do it without your statement. Also, most banks will give you over the phone access with your social security number and birthdate, or account number and birthdate.
