What is the ideal ph balance for my 48 gallon freshwater tank?

I have a 48 gallon tank with 10 danios and 4 aquatic dwarf frogs (More fish will be added later). What is the ideal ph balance I should be looking for? Does the ph balance depend on the type of fish in the tank?|||Danios will be fine with a pH of any number between 6 and 8.

Basically it's not as important as many people think, and the problems that can occur are more complex than just adding some random pH up or down chemicals to the water.

Yes different fish prefer different pH levels, but it also relates to the hardness and Total Dissolved Solids. Most common fish are pretty adaptable.

You you want to measure something, check the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels. Those ARE important, and there is things you can do to fix them.

Ian|||7 or 7.2 but it really depends on your fish, if they are ph sensitive or not. even if it's 8, then most fish will adapt to it. you only need to lower it naturally if you keep fish like rams and other sensitive fish. you can usually achieve this by filtering through peat moss or adding driftwood|||Probably 7, neutral
